The job: One surely would not be in a job if one did not enjoy it, particularity after working for 19 years. Godrej Interio promotes an entrepreneurial culture and that gives a freedom to try out new initiatives. The other part is about being in marketing. It provides an opportunity to interact with various kinds of people and I think that?s something that is interesting for me as a marketer. What I dislike is the time one spends waiting, waiting almost for everything, particularly when you are working with teams from various companies. I don?t think it?s my impatience, it?s just that I know one does not need to take that long a time to do something. And did I say meetings!!!

The weekdays: Reaching office by 8:40 am used to be a challenge till I relocated from the western suburbs to Thane. The first hour and a half is always for clearing mail boxes, a bit of day planning, a bit of fooling around and a bit of notes posting for people who luckily come a little late. This is followed by a mixture-grinder day of meetings (I hate them), helping and asking for help (I love this). A good team helps me be on top of my work. Some days have a few dips, but one needs to take it in the stride. The ?cutting chai? breaks are the perks of working in Vikroli. Frankly, a lot of work happens during these breaks, though my HR may not agree.

The weekend: I would have asked, ?what weekend?? But no, my two daughters Gypsy and Sanyukta look forward to my Sunday. I take them for a drive or just chill at home penning down my thoughts or try my vocal chords at Hindustani classical music or work on my oil sketches. Sometimes my lenses take over. Some cooking in the evenings and sometimes a party follows.

The logos: My best gadget is my Nikon D7000. Mobiles, tablets, multi-usage watches, audio and video systems are a pain. I love my camera and am learning to use it for the last few years.

The toys: Brands are good… but are over-rated! What brand is cutting chai? What brand is vada pao? What brand are yellow-and-black cabs? Can you do without them in Mumbai? A Meru, a Starbucks and a McDonald cannot together have the following of vada pao. Having said that, my camera is Nikon, my furniture is Godrej Interio, my phone is a BlackBerry (could move to Android), and my watch is a Rolex. However, I?m wondering when will one brand air and land (after water).
