Software major Tally India Pvt Ltd on Wednesday launched its ‘Pragati?Earn While You Learn Scheme’ here.
Tally is targeting to enroll around 2.50 lakh students at its 1000-plus academies in the country by October 18, 2007 under the scheme.
Speaking to reporters here Wednesday, Tally (India) general manager Prasoon Parijat said a discount coupon system would enable students enrolled with any of the Tally academies to encash the coupons with the company after its direct channel partners (DCPs) sold Tally 9 Software to clients against the coupons.
“Starting with Rs 900, the income could be limitless as discount coupons are replenished each time a demand for Tally 9 Software is generated against those,” said Parijat.
Students could, irrespective of their educational background, get themselves enrolled either in the Tally Financial Accounting Programme or the Tally Financial Accounting Certification.
According to Ravindra K Sinha, Tally (India) deputy general manager (ETB Ranchi), students, after undergoing the 95-hour programme and depending on how they faired in it, could avail themselves of benefits like receiving a participation certificate along with an industry-endorsed certificate from Tally, an international certificate from UK-based Institute of Certified Book-keepers (for candidates who are awarded a Tally-certified professional certificate) and a four-month real time training & internship certificate from Tally.
“The programme offers students a chance to be a part of the community of competent financial accounting professionals, thereby providing them with an opportunity to work with companies or turn into entrepreneurs,” added Parijat.
Tally’s accounting software is said to have a market share of more than 90% in the country with over 20 lakh users.
Under the Pragati scheme, a student will have to pay Rs 5,400 as course fee and Rs 1,350 as examination fee.
