An Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) will be set up in Haryana. ?Centre has given in principal approval for the same and land has been identified at village Kilord in district Sonipat thus giving a big boost to technical education in the State.? chief minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda said here.
State government has proposed to make Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal and Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar as affiliating universities and YMCA, Faridabad as an independent university as a part of the drive to further improve the standard of technical education in the State. There is also a proposal to set up the second campus of YMCA at village Nekpur in district Faridabad at a cost of Rs 25 crore.
