For the second time after coming to power, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati on Wednesday expanded her five-month-old government by inducting six new ministers into her Cabinet, raising its strength to 54.
Four Cabinet ministers and two ministers of state were sworn in by governor T V Rajeswar at the Raj Bhavan in the evening. The new Cabinet ministers are Nand Gopal Gupta, K K Gautam, Chandrika Ram
Yadav and Ashok Kumar, while the two ministers of state (independent charge) are Bhagwati Sagar and Jaiveer Singh.
The ministers of state who were elevated to cabinet ranks are Ranganath Mishra, Anant Kumar Mishra, Badshah Singh and Abdul Mannan.
