The Solvent Extractors? Association of India (SEA) has formed a Consortium of Members interested to invest in farm land activities in Paraguay for undertaking the cultivation of oilseeds, corn and other crops.

Paraguay offers a tremendous opportunity for investment on farm land as the productivity and the soil fertility and water availability are excellent.

?The response from the members is excellent and 12 members have shown their keen interest to join the consortium. The first meeting of the Latin American Countries Consortium Project was held on July 12, 2007 and has decided to depute a study team consisting of 2 or 3 persons to visit Paraguay and the neighboring countries to make a detailed study and prepare a Techno Economic Feasibility

Genero Vicente Pappalardo, Ambassador of Paraguay has assured all the help and assistance for investment in Paraguay for farm activities.

The 14 member SEA delegation sponsored by Ministry of Commerce under the leadership of AR Sharma returned in the first week of June after visiting Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil.The delegation had a very good opportunity to study the agricultural practices being followed in these countries for better productivity.
