RBS appoints Wolter as head of Asia regional equity strategy

Financial services major Royal Bank of Scotland Group today said it has appointed Emil Wolter as head of Asian regional equity strategy.

Prior,to joining RBS, he worked with Polar Capital Partners, a privately held boutique fund management company with about USD 3.5 billion of assets under management.

Wolter would report to Peter Hilton, head of Asian Equity Research, British banking entity, RBS said in a statement.

?RBS is delighted to have such an experienced Asian and emerging markets fund manager join our research team, and head our equity strategy product,? Hilton said.

At Polar Capital Partners, Wolter had launched the first Asian UCIT3 fund in the market, built and grew the global emerging markets business and was instrumental in opening an office in Singapore.
