Nikon entered the consumer digital SLR/HD video category by unveiling the Nikon D5000. A 12.3 Mega pixel camera not only captures photos and high-def movies, but also sports a unique 6.8 cms Vari angle LCD monitor. The D5000 will be available at Nikon Authorized dealers last week of May 2009 onwards at an MRP of Rs. 48950 and Rs 55950 (with a VR lens kit).

The Nikon D5000 is world?s first DSLR camera with a 450 degree rotating LCD screen. Through this Vari-angle LCD monitor one can view in a normal position fitting securely within the camera back, or swung out to be rotated or tilted.
