Sound is coming to life
If you look at the way cinema has transformed from analog sound to 7.1 digital sound, it is clear that digital is the way forward. The same thing applies to CDs. These days, cinema theatres are talking to further migrate to 3D stereoscopic sound, where each seat will feel as if it was in the middle of all the action. If this happens, it will be the cutting edge of sound and technology and a new benchmark for India.
All the new trends in the industry are a reflection of the fact that the exposure for all Indians is exactly where it should be. The general public is aware of the best and with large spending power, companies are able to afford the best in the world, competing with similar companies in the West.
The future of cinema in general is going to change; soon we will be going to cinemas not only to watch movies, but for alternate content as well. IPL live in 3D is just the start, there is a near possibility of us showing rock concerts with thousands of fans present, recorded in 3D and viewed in cinema halls across the country.
This is a big step forward for the music industry here.
