MobMe and Light Logics – two Technopark-incubated companies- have notched national recognition for their respective innovations. MobMe won the NASSCOM Innovation Awards 2008 for the most Innovative Startup and the Indian Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Parks and Business Incubators Association (ISBA) 2009 award for the Best Startup ICT Company of 2008.
Light Logics Holography and Optics Pvt. Ltd won the ISBA Award for the Best Start up Engineering Company for 2008.
MobMe will be recognized by NASSCOM during the NASSCOM India Leadership Forum scheduled to take place from Feb 11-13, 2009 in Mumbai.
Technopark CEO Siddhartha Bhattacharya said that the laurels culled by these two companies reiterate that the park’s incubation initiatives are world class.
MobMe is a two-year old vibrant technology startup incubated by the Technopark Business Incubation (TBI) initiative founded by a bunch of engineering students while in their college. The company co-founded by Sanjay Vijay Kumar (CEO), Sony Joy (COO), Vivek Steve Francis (CFO) and Vishnu Gopal (CTO) out of their passion for technology and desire to be job creators has today expanded to Cochin, Mumbai and Gurgaon with a 30 people strong team.
The company won the award for its flagship product Mobshare.in – a mobile content sharing platform & distribution network. They won this recognition after a rigorous selection procedure, followed by telephonic interviews by eminent industry experts and a grand finale in Pune.
Mobile users having GPRS enabled handsets would now be able to start sharing their photos and videos directly from their mobile phones with Mobshare.” Said mobMe CEO, Sanjay Vijay Kumar.
