Maruti Suzuki India?s managing director Shinzo Nakanishi will meet Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday to discuss and possibly finalise a deal to set up its seventh manufacturing plant and its first outside Haryana. FE had reported on May 27 that Gujarat had cleared 500 acre for a Maruti plant in the state. ?Yes, Maruti Suzuki MD is scheduled to meet the chief minister tomorrow,? said Gujarat principal secretary (industries & mines) Maheshwar Sahu. He, however, declined to share details like whether the final agreement would be signed on Tuesday, the location of the proposed facility and the incentives to be offered.
