Madras Cements today said its net profit declined by 2.72 per cent to Rs 353.6 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010.
The company had a net profit of Rs 363.5 crore in the same period ended March 2009, Madras Cement said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total income rose to Rs 2,821 crore for the year ended March 2010, from Rs 2,471 crore in the same period previous fiscal.
The board of directors of the company proposed a final dividend of Rs 0.50 per share for the year 2009-10, the filing added.
Shares of Madras Cements were trading at Rs 99.50 on BSE, down 1.24 per cent from previous close.
