LG Electronics India is considering price hike across all its product categories. It will decide on the quantum of increase early next month. Rajiv Jain, business head, home appliances of LG, said, “We increased prices across categories few days ago. But yet another price hike is imperative and we will decide on that in April. The company will try its best to absorb the effects of price hikes. However, beyond a point it would be passed on to the customers”, he said. The aggregate impact of increase in prices of base metals such as steel and copper and the 2% excise duty pressure in the recent budget has been to the tune of 6.5% and some portion of this increase has been handled through the recent hike in prices of products, he added.
