The Bill to operationalise the 86th Constitutional Amendment should be welcomed by all (?Right way to education?, Nov 10). No doubt, private schools play a pivotal role in India. However, their expensive fee structure puts modern education beyond the reach of millions of students. On the other hand, government schools that provide affordable education are being left high and dry. So, it is time to ensure a reasonable fee structure in the country. And also, the educational system should go beyond syllabus to enable it to produce students with the capacity of original thinking.
