GMR Infra on Monday said that Kiran Kumar Grandhi, the younger son of promoter G Mallikarjuna Rao, has taken over as managing director following a reshuffle among the senior management team. Grandhi, 38, who was heading the urban infrastructure and highways vertical, recently swapped roles with BV Nageswara Rao, who was earlier the managing director and corporate chairman. This will be Kumar’s first stint as MD, a post which his elder brother GBS Raju and brother-in-law Srinivas Bommidala have previously held in keeping with the company’s policy to rotate responsibilities every four years.
