Five Indian-Americans have been honoured by an Indo-American business organisation here for entrepreneurship and community service.
The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston (IACCGH) honoured awarded Mahesh Shah and Rajan Radhakrishnan, co-owners of Madras Pavilion restaurant, with ‘Entrepreneurs of the Year’ award.
The ‘Woman Entrepreneur of the year 2007’ award was presented to Indira Vishnampet, the CEO and Founder of Hydus Inc for her professional achievements.
Vishnampet has been credited with making Hydus, an MNC providing solutions in enterprise integrations and enterprise data management, into a multi-million dollar firm within three years of its inception.
The ‘young entrepreneur award was presented to Rob Maharaj.
Recognising his efforts towards services to the Indian-American community, the Chamber awarded Vijay Pallod, with the Community Service award.
