Haryana Power Utilities have commissioned 53 new substations, augmented capacity of 90 existing substations and constructed 619-km transmission lines with a total investment of Rs 682.54 crore during the financial year 2009-10.

Giving details, a spokesman of Power Utilities said here on Friday that the newly constructed substations included one 400 kv , one 220 kv, eleven 132 kv, five 66 kv and thirty five 33 kv substations.

The augmentation covered nine 220 kv, twenty 132 kv, twenty seven 66 kv and thirty four 33 kv substations spread in district Ambala, Bhiwani, Fatehabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar, Jind, Jhajjar, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Mohindergarh, Palwal, Panipat, Panchkula, Rewari, Rohtak, Sirsa and Sonipat in the state.
