Asian financial services major DBS Group Holdings on Tuesday announced the appointment of Piyush Gupta, who is currently the chief executive officer of Citigroup.
Gupta, a veteran banker has spent over two-thirds of his 27-year career in South East Asia and Hong Kong, including eight years in Singapore, has been appointed as the CEO, DBS said in a statement.
DBS is focused on extending its end-to-end services to facilitate capital within fast-growing countries like Indonesia and India.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch has appointed Prakash Shah as director & head of India Commodity Solutions.
Prakash Shah will be based in Mumbai and has joined the company as director and head of India Commodity Solutions.
He has rejoined the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Commodities from RBS-Sempra, where he had spent the last year as part of the Commodity Sales and Trading group in Mumbai.

Foreign lender, Royal Bank of Scotland Group on Tuesday said it has appointed Emil Wolter as head of Asian regional equity strategy.
Prior,to joining RBS, he worked with Polar Capital Partners, a privately held boutique fund management company with about $3.5 billion of assets under management.
Wolter would report to Peter Hilton, head of Asian Equity Research, British banking entity, RBS said in a statement.
