These days headphones are becoming part of our life?no matter where you are, where you go, people utilising them while exercising, commuting, studying or working. And the advances in technology have increased battery life and storage capacity of players which resulting in users listening with headphones at loud decibels for prolonged periods of time. Before buying any headphones now a days buyers do take the comfort factor very seriously apart from the styling and features, so do the manufacturer also.
Keeping all these in mind Philips just launched its SHL 5000 headband headphones. The headphones are very colourful, trendy and unbelievably comfortable. These cushy headphones comes is five vibrant colours?red, orange, white, green and black. The ear pad is covered with soft leather which makes it comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The matte finish on the earcups add to the overall look of the headphones and make them stand out. Another good feature that make you feel more comfortable with this headphones is the steel-spring headband on these headphones, which also ensures a flexible and comfortable fit. With a 1.2m long cable, you can easily enjoy your music without worrying about how to position your player within range. The Philips Headband Headphones can also be folded flat, so you can easily carry and store your private music lounge while on the move. It is further equipped with noise isolation for pure music pleasure.
Now the sound part? the quality of these headphones is not very extraordinary but well worth the price. We started off on some metal and rock music and it performed quite well. However, in some high pitch drum tracks the bass gets loose quickly. We can say that the bass notes have volume, but very little variance in texture or depth. While listening at loud volume, the headphones also provide basic noise cancellation, thanks to its design. We were very impressed by the clarity that the headphones offered. The sound output was outstanding while listening to standard Hip-Hop, Bollywood and Jazz.
