The much talked about and keenly anticipated Farah Khan directed film ‘Happy New Year’ that stars Shah Rukh Khan, which released this Friday, opened to packed houses across the country leading its box office collections to script new records.
In fact, the film, which was a solo release, has been doing well with its box office collections, with even paid previews going almost full.
In this box office analysis, we take a look at the opening day collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year while comparing the same to his previous releases. Interestingly, the film has become his highest opening day grosser of both SRK and Deepika collecting Rs 44.97 crore, out beating their previous highest, Chennai Express, that had collected Rs 33.12 crore.
