Adlabs-owned network Big 92.7 FM has joined hands with Asian FM, the largest and the only network of its kind in the United States, to serve and promote the south Asian community living in the US. As part of the alliance, Big FM will provide non-music content to Asian FM, which will start airing those from September 1, 2007.

Radio has still retained its place as a source of entertainment for NRIs, and with the joining hands of Asian FM and Big FM, they will have an access to various news, discussions on local and national issues and contemporary programmes on India.

Speaking on the alliance, Jayyant Bhokare, vice-president (business development) of Big FM, said: “This tieup marks the entry of the network in the international arena, and we are extremely excited to join hands with one of the most unique and popular radio stations in the US. After the good response in India, we are all set to entertain people overseas.”

“I am sure that some of our listeners, who have not been to India for a while, will definitely find the content progressive,” Asian FM vice-president Deepak Viswanath said.
