The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena?s outbursts against ?North Indians? living in Mumbai (?Identity insularity?, Feb 5) are discordant and disruptive. In India, the Constitution gives all citizens the right to live wherever they want and make a living through honest means. Spewing discriminatory remarks against others in order to create a political base shows the moral and ideological bankruptcy of the breakaway Shiv Sena outfit. If Raj Thackeray and his partymen continue to stir this sort of parochial sentiments that run against the letter and spirit of the Constitution, it should be banned from politics.
