ASA Films, a new corporate entity, is planning to foray into the content, distribution and exhibition businesses under the ASA Films banner. The company has already announced its forthcoming film Mumbai Salsa.

According to Surendra Sharma, managing director, the company is planning to establish itself as a leading organisation in the entertainment field. “Our aim is to create and provide tailor-made serial contents for various TV channels. We want to produce five films every year”, Sharma said.

ASA also plans to have the first chain of multiplexes in Mumbai, Delhi and Gurgaon. “This will help in consolidating the company’s position as a foresighted player with a focus on completing the supply value chain in the entertainment sector. We have allotted Rs 60 crore for it”, Sharma added.

After Mumbai Salsa, the next film from the ASA Films stable will be Dial M for Marriage, a comedy which will go on floors shortly.

Manoj Tyagi, who directed blockbusters like Page-3, Aparharan and Corporate, is the director of Mumbai Salsa.
