Appnomic Systems, a specialist Remote Infrastructure & Application Management Services company, announced signing a partnership agreement with KGISL, a leading IT software services company, to launch a comprehensive, job oriented finishing school to address the growing demand and skill gap in the Infrastructure Management Services industry.
Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) is seeing growing demand globally and outsourcing of these services to India is on the up-swing. This industry requires talent with multiple technology skills; ability to run operations on production environment on a 24×7 basis and demanding service level agreements to ensure clients IT is available and performing effectively. Mckinsey along with NASSCOM had earlier predicted a market size of 28 Billion by 2013 for RIM services and as per Nasscom and industry reports, more than 300,000 skilled personnel are required by the IMS industry in the next few years.
The demand of companies operating in this space, including Tier 1 service providers, is not being met adequately by the existing education & training programs, which are mostly focused on certifications on specific products/technologies. The requirement from these companies focuses on the quality of the education and its direct applicability to the IMS operations area, considering that the trained people are deployed to manage mission critical production systems.
With this partnership between Appnomic Systems and KGISL, a focused training program on IMS is now available to graduate students. This comprehensive program created by Appnomic includes training the graduates on the Fundamentals, Products & Technologies, Live Lab Exercises relevant to IMS operations and all round Soft Skills development.
As per Padmanabhan, CEO of Appnomic, ?This program is unique in a way that it will deliver knowledgeable trained people who are at par with 2 years experienced engineers ? ?2 years in 4 months?. Experienced Practitioners from the IMS space deliver the training program. We are extremely pleased to partner with KGISL which is a part of the KG group, who are pioneers in the field of education, medicine and IT services, to launch this training program on a large scale.?
Ashok Bhaktavatsalam, Managing Director of KGISL added, ?KGISL has pioneered IT enabled services in this part of India and we saw a good opportunity to expand into the growing IMS area through this training offering. Our partnership with Appnomic, will contribute immensely to the growing skill demand in the industry and more importantly enable students from the non-metros areas to get good exposure and get them job ready. We have launched the first batch with 75 students and all of them have already received offer letters from multiple IT Services companies. We are confident that more companies will participate in this training program and make it very successful?.
This training program is designed to be practical oriented, which will ensure that IT Companies will come to KGISL?s campus for hiring the trained resources. The very fact that the first batch has a 100 % placement record speaks for itself.
