ADAG and NIS Sparta, has opened their academy in Chandigarh. The NIS academy which has presence across 30 locations in the country, is mulling more education centers in Punjab and Haryana. This year the target is to open 60 educational centres across India. The academy functions as an education division of NIS Sparta present across 277 locations providing various kinds of services to the ADAG and other corporate organisations, besides government institutions.

Muralidhar Rao, President and COO, NIS Sparta, told FE that for MBA and BBA courses, it has affiliation with Annamalai University . Besides that it also offers courses like PGDAM, ADMAS and EPCD. “The NIS Academy offers specialised courses in various industry verticals to bridge the gap between demand and supply. Besides having good industrial base, Chandigarh is also fast becoming an IT/ ITeS hub and our expansion will help address the demand for skilled manpower in the region,” he added.

Besides this the Academy has also started programs for executives in collaboration with XIMB that could be relayed via VSAT to any of its centres. The academy performs a two-pronged role? set up education centres to impart skills for long term career growth in sales and marketing, customer service and applied management and second, operate the School of Employability (SOE) initiative offering employability-linked vocational courses to employment seekers.
