Suspended police inspector V A Rathod and two others have filed a discharge application in the Special CBI court in Ahmedabad on Friday. The trio ? V A Rathod, Shantram Sharma and Ajay Parmar ? had been arrested by the Gujarat CID Crime in connection with the Sohrabuddin case. The CBI had in a chargesheet submitted before the CBI Court in July this year proposed to discharge the three from the case. Following this, the trio had moved the discharge application, which is scheduled for hearing on September 3, sources said.
