Hero MotoCorp was the first motorcycle maker to launch a BS6 commuter motorcycle, the Splendor iSmart. It comes with a more youthful design language and dual-tone paint schemes. This makes the bike a smart looking proposition for people who want to buy a budget-friendly but stylish two-wheeler. The BS6 Splendor iSmart has a 113.2cc fuel-injected engine that generates 9hp and 9.89Nm and comes paired with a 4-speed gearbox. For better fuel efficiency, the motorcycle gets an idle start-stop system, which is known as i3S. Hero has also tweaked the engine to start more easily in cold weather and provide better pickup than before. Currently, the bike is sold in two variants with the base drum brake variant retailing for Rs 67.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The variant that comes with a disc brake at the front costs Rs 69.45 lakh (ex-showroom).

Hero MotoCorp Splendor iSmart Braking and Safety

Hero Splendor iSmart comes in two variants. The basic model gets 130mm drum brakes on both ends. The more expensive model comes with a 240mm disc brake at the front and has better braking performance. For the speeds that this bike will usually do, the braking capabilities are sufficient.
Hero MotoCorp Splendor iSmart Mileage

The Splendor iSmart is known for delivering good mileage, however, the company has not revealed the fuel efficiency of the BS6 model. Depending on the way one rides, the bike can return a fuel economy of 60-70kmpl. This means that despite having a relatively small fuel tank capacity is 9.5 litres, it can deliver a range of more than 600km.
