  • Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200S Design and Build

    Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200S

Slapping a front fairing on an already existing motorcycle is not an easy job for sure and that is where Hero MotoCorp has done a great task. The Xtreme 200S looks good in flesh and comes across as a proper sports tourer. The front end of the motorcycle gets a twin pod LED headlamp. Looking from the sides, the Xtreme 200S indeed appears as an appealing package, all thanks to those sharp creases and lines across its entire body length. The rear gets an LED tail lamp and a monoshock not only improves the visuals but enhances the handling as well.

  • Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200S Riding Ergonomics

    Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200S

Being an outright sports tourer, the Hero Xtreme 200S gets a relatively comfortable riding position if you compare it with a true blue sportsbike in the segment like the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. The footpegs are moderately set and the comfortable seat ensures that you will have a good time with the bike even on long distances. This one apart being a good looking motorcycle is also a sweet handler and riding it around corners is really confidence inspiring.

  • Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200S Engine

    Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200S

The Hero Xtreme 200S gets power from a 199.6cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine mated to a five-speed transmission system. The power and torque outputs of this engine are identical to that of the XPulse 200, XPulse 200T and the Xtreme 200R at 18 bhp and 17 Nm respectively. We rode it on BIC and experienced that the engine is refined and has a decent mid range.

  • Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200S Transmission

    Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200S

The engine on the Hero Xtreme 200S is mated to a five-speed gearbox that has one down and five up shifting pattern. The gearbox offers smooth and precise gearshifts and you will hardly find a false neutral while riding the motorcycle.

  • Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200S Braking and Safety

Braking on the Hero Xtreme 200S is done with the help of a 276mm disc brake up front along with a 220mm disc brake at the rear. A single-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) is on offer for additional safety and a more effective braking. In terms of safety, the Xtreme 200S also gets an all LED headlamp and you can also pair your smartphone with the bike through Bluetooth. The instrument cluster also offers turn by turn navigation assist.

  • Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200S Mileage

The Hero Xtreme 200S has been fitted with a fuel tank having a total capacity of 12.5-litre. The bike should return a fuel economy of close to 40 kmpl in real world riding conditions. All thanks to this, the motorcycle should offer you a range of 450 km once you fill the tank up to its brim.
