Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 Live: India’s first solar-powered car, Eva, launched

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the CLA Concept at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, which made its debut at Munich last year.

German carmaker BMW has launched the X1 long wheel base electric SUV. The SUV will be bulit in India and carries a price tag of Rs 49 lakh, ex-showroom, and gets a 2800 mm wheelbase. The new BMW X1 long wheelbase electric SUV will also be available with subscription.

Hero MotoCorp has launched multiple products:

Xpulse 210 – Rs 1.75 lakh

Xtreme 250R – Rs 1.79 lakh

Xoom 125 – Rs 86,900

Xoom 160 – Rs 1.48 lakh

Hero MotoCorp has multiple models to showcase from the new Xpulse 210 to the new Karizma 250. However, Hero starts off with the HF Deluxe Flex Fuel variant.

At the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, Suzuki has introduces the eAccess electric scooter, which gets a 39kWh battery pack. It has a 95km range and a top speed of 75kmph. Alongside the eAccess, Suzuki has unveiled the updated Access 125 and the Gixxer 250 flex fuel.

So here it is ladies and gentlemen, the Maruti Suzuki eVitara. The eVitara gets 10-way powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, 18-inch wheels, a choice of either 49kWh or 61kWh battery pack, over 60 telematics features, 3 drive modes – Eco, Normal, Sport – and much more.

The car will go into production in a few months and is built on a dedicated platform. The eVitara gets ADAS and the company has invested Rs 2,100 crore for the development of the vehicle. Maruti Suzuki will also setup dedicated EV service centres for the eVitara. Maruti Suzuki is also claiming a range of over 500km. Safety has also been a key focus and with a wheelbase of 2700mm, the eVitara gets multiple airbags as well.

The Maruti Suzuki eVitara is the carmaker’s first battery electric vehicle, marking the carmaker’s official entry in the EV space. In the ICE segment, maruti Suzuki is the largest car-seller and with the eVitara, can Maruti Suzuki recreate the same? India will be the global manufacturing base for the eVitara.

Maruti Suzuki will start the event with the unveiling of the eVitara. The SUV has been spied testing several times and the carmaker has also released official teasers. Stay tuned.

BMW is at the Bharat Mobility Expo this year and the German automaker is set to showcase multiple products such as the X7, 5 Series long wheelbase version, M5, M4, i7, and the X3 SUV. The company will also showcase the BMW R 1300 GS, and launch the R 1300 GS Adventure in India.

Suzuki is at the Bharat Mobility Expo and the Japanese two-wheeler maker is expected to launch the all-electric Access today. With Honda also entering the EV space, Suzuki is the last manufacturer, apart from Yamaha.
