Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 Live: India’s first solar-powered car, Eva, launched

Exicom has unveiled EV solutions developed at the intersection of renewable energy, and scalable, high-power public charging at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 today. The company showcased a highly integrated solution Harmony Boost combining solar power, grid input, intelligent Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and multiple dispenser units (up to 400kW) to deliver a greener and faster EV charging experience for Indian EV users.

Vayve Mobility has launched Eva, India’s first solar electric car, at an introductory price of Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Launched in three different options: 9 kilowatt-hour (Whr), 12 kWhr and 18 kWhr with prices ranging between Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom), consumers can choose depending on the variant with flexible Battery Subscription options available.  The car is open for pre-bookings and customers can register by paying Rs 5,000 to get their own Eva in the later half of 2026.

Numerous Motors, the Bengaluru-based EV startup, has announced the prices for its electric scooter, the Diplos Max. It is priced at Rs 1,09,999, and has a claimed IDC range of 140km while it can reach a top speed of 63kmph. We have ridden the Diplos Max and here’s our review.

Hyundai and TVS have partnered to explore last-mile mobility solutions by unveiling concept models of advanced electric three-wheeler and micro four-wheeler at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. These concepts have been created to redefine urban mobility, with key features such as an angled windshield for superior visibility, enhanced collision protection, a flat floor, and an extended wheelbase to maximize comfort and ergonomics.

The big daddy is here — BMW has officially launched the new R 1300 GS Adventure in India, priced at Rs 22.95 lakh onwards. The motorcycle will be available in three Option Styles – Triple Black, GS Trophy and 719 Karakorum. The new R 1300 GSA will be sold as a CBU and deliveries will commence from April 2025.

MG has unveiled the Majestor SUV at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. The SUV takes design inspiration from the Maxus D90, which is on sale in select markets. The SUV looks beefy and will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, and others in the segment.

TVS is also present at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo and the bike maker showcased the Jupiter CNG, the world’s first CNG scooter. Apart from the CNG scooter, TVS showcased a supermoto concept based on the new 300cc liquid-cooled engine. TVS is expected to showcase its new RTX adventure motorcycle also at the expo.

BMW has launched the all-new X3 in India. The carmaker claims that the X3 is the longest and tallest in the segment and is powered by a petrol or a diesel engine.

The unveiling marks a significant milestone for VinFast in the promising Indian electric vehicle market. VinFast chose the VF 7 and VF 6 as its first models for the market. India is also the first market where VinFast will launch right-hand drive version of the VF 7 and VF 6. These two models are expected to meet the electrification needs of consumers and set a new benchmark in the green transportation industry in India.

As day 1 of the Bharat Mobility Expo comes to an end, lets take a quick look at the day. Maruti Suzuki started the day with the unveil of the eVitara, followed by Suzuki launching the eAccess and the flex fuel Gixxer. Hero launched several products, including the Xpulse 210 and the Xoom 160, while Hyundai announced prices for the Creta EV — 17.99 lakh ex-showroom.

That said, Tata Motors showcased several vehicles, including the Harrier EV and the Sierra EV. Kia unveiled the updated EV6, followed by Skoda‘s announcement of launching the Superb and the Octavia RS in India in the coming months.

BYD is building a slow and steady base in India and at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, the Chinese carmaker showcased the U8 SUV concept. The plug-in hybrid makes 1084bhp of power with the help of four electric motors.

Kia, Hyundai‘s sister company has unveiled the EV6 at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. Kia will start accepting bookings for the EV6 from now, but will announce the pricing in March this year.

At the Bharat Mobility Expo, the Avinya EV concept caught the most attention, which will be the future generation of Tata SUVs. The vehicle showcases what Tata’s design language can do in the SUV space.

Tata Motors is set to unveil a number of SUV, including the electric Safari, Harrier, petrol Safari, and the Sierra in electric and ICE powertrains. Stay tuned.
