2016 Auto Expo is expected to be ‘bigger, better and more exciting’ than before with estimated 6 lakh visitors over 5 days. The biennial event is organized by SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) along with ACMA (Automotive Component Manufacturers association) and CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), and is held in two separate events – Auto Expo Motor Show and Auto Expo Component show. While the former will be held at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida between February 5 – February 9, the latter is organized at Pragati Maidan, Delhi from February 4 – February 7. Media preview days for the 2016 Auto Expo are slated for 3rd and 4th February.
The India Expo Mart Limited has been given a massive makeover ahead of the Auto Expo 2016, as the venue has witnessed enormous construction in the form of two large halls created at the venue. As against the last edition’s 62,000 sq mtrs, the 2016 Auto Exoo – the Motor Show 2016 – will have 68.000 sq metres’ area.
While the 2016 Auto Expo – the Motor Show – will have a total of 65 vehicle manufacturers as against last edition’s 55 exhibitors, the Component Show has attracted over 1,500 exhibitors. In addition to the line-up of the previous edition of the Auto Expo, four-wheeler manufacturers like Revolta Motors, Force Motors, Jeep, Abarth and Dhasan Moto will also be present at the venue. In the two-wheeler category, BMW Motorrad, DSK Benelli and Indian Motorcycles from Polaris are new additions.
While some new exhibitors have been added this year, makers like Bajaj Auto, Royal Enfiled and Harley Davidson have decided not to take part this year. Besides vehicle makers, Auto Expo – the Motor Show 2016 will have Tire and Tube makers, oil companies, Automotive design and technology companies, Engineering and IT for Automobile Companies, Institutions, Universities, Financial Institutions, Auto Insurance Companies, and Media & Auto Publications.
