Based on the Tiago platform, the Tigor gets the same Humanity line grille with chrome finish, LED tail-lamps and body-colored bumpers. The higher variants of compact sedan come with fog lamps, LED DRLs and 15-inch alloy wheels. It gets a boot space of 419 litres and has a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres.
Inside the cabin, the Tigor gets a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system, automatic climate control and push-button start-stop on higher variants. Also, it comes with a fabric seat upholstery and a digital instrument cluster.
The Tata Tigor is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 84hp and 113Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT. The company has discontinued the 1.05- litre diesel engine.
The diesel and petrol engines of the Tata Tigor compact sedan are mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The transmission has also been borrowed from the Tata Tiago and like its hatchback sibling, the Tata Tigor is available with ‘City’ and ‘Eco’ driving modes. No variant of the Tata Tigor is currently available with an automatic or AMT gearbox.
The Tigor comes with ABS with EBD, dual airbags and rear parking sensors as standard. The top-end variants come with reverse camera, front fog lamps. The sub-compact sedan has received 4-stars in Global NCAP ratings.
As for fuel efficiency, Tata Motors has not revealed any figures for the petrol engine and it comes with a fuel tank capacity of 35-litres.
