Tata Motors has launched the BS6 Tigor with a single petrol engine option – 1.2-litre. The petrol unit generates 84hp/113Nm and is mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT. The Tigor is equipped with safety features such as ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and driver and passenger airbags as standard. The sub-compact sedan is available in four trims with manual transmission – XE, XM, XZ, XZ plus, and two with the AMT – XMA and XZA plus. The 2020 Tigor price start from Rs 5.75 lakh and goes up to Rs 7.49 lakh for the automatic variant.

    Based on the Tiago platform, the Tigor gets the same Humanity line grille with chrome finish, LED tail-lamps and body-colored bumpers. The higher variants of compact sedan come with fog lamps, LED DRLs and 15-inch alloy wheels. It gets a boot space of 419 litres and has a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres.

The transmission has also been borrowed from the Tata Tiago and like its hatchback sibling, the Tata Tigor is available with ‘City’ and ‘Eco’ driving modes. No variant of the Tata Tigor is currently available with an automatic or AMT gearbox.
