The Tata Indigo has a simple yet elegant interior. It also comes with body coloured bumpers. The front end is adorned with smart chrome grille. It comes with radiant headlamps and an impressive tail lamp cluster. The ORVM’s are adjustable from inside. It has a chrome garnish at the rear, 14 inch wheels and puncture resistant radial tyres.
The Indigo is a very comfortable sedan and can accommodate five passengers with ease. It comes with a very effective air conditioning unit and the floor console also has a provision for a mobile charger. It comes with an extended boot space. The steering wheel has four spokes and the instrument panel is very chic. It also comes with features like reading lamps, a cabin lamp that operates from all four doors and a lamp in the boot. The dashboard is the same heritage Indigo type and the music system is with Bluetooth connectivity and an aux-in port.
The Tata Indigo comes with three engine choices, a 1,193 cc petrol engine which produces 64 hp and 100 Nm of torque, a 1,396 cc diesel engine which produces 69 hp of power with 135 Nm of torque and a 1,405 cc diesel engine producing 69 ps of power with 140 Nm of torque.
The Tata Indica comes with a five speed manual transmission which offers smooth transition between gears and is not notchy at all. There is good amount of torque present which aids in the driveability of the car.
In terms of safety, it comes with disc brakes in front with drum brakes at rear, ABS, anti-submarine seats, a collapsible steering column, side intrusion beam on all doors, rear fog lamps, child safety lock and a head lamp leveller.
The Tata Indica is capable of returning ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 25 kmpl in city and 27 kmpl on highways. The fuel tank has a capacity of 37L and can drive between 800 to 1000kms on a full tank.
