TVS iQube is the company’s second innings in the electric scooter segment. The first one being TVS Scooty Teenz electric that was launched back in the year 2008 but the same was discontinued due to poor demand. In terms of visuals, TVS iQube gets a sleek LED headlamp and the same styling continues at the rear as well for the tail lamp. The electric scooter comes with two riding modes namely Eco and Power and has a top speed of 78 kmph. On the other hand, when it comes to range, the iQube can run 75 km in a single full charge. Like the TVS Ntorq and Apache, the iQube also gets the company’s Smart Xonnect feature all thanks to which you can keep a record of the vehicle statistics and set geo fencing. Moreover, you can also connect your phone to the scooter via Bluetooth after which you get calls and message alerts on the instrument cluster for better convenience. TVS iQube was launched at a price of Rs 1.15 lakh (on road, Bengaluru). The e-scooter challenges the likes of Bajaj Chetak and Ather 450X in the premium electric scooter territory in India.

TVS iQube Braking and Safety

TVS iQube gets its braking done with the help of a 220mm disc brake upfront along with a 130mm drum brake at the rear. Both, the front and the rear offer a fantastic feedback and bite. Even while having a drum unit at the rear, you won’t feel that the braking performance is not upto the mark. The scooter gets a park assist function as well in which you get two modes namely Forward and Reverse. In terms of safety, the scooter also gets a parking brake and all features of the Smart Xonnect are a cherry on top as these let you track your vehicle and prevent any theft.
TVS iQube Mileage

TVS claims a range of 75 km for the iQube and in order to see if the claim is true, we will have to wait till the scooter comes to us for a proper road test. The scooter also comes with regenerative braking and upon asking the company more details about it, TVS said that the iQube comes with 30 percent regeneration rate, all thanks to which you get an additional 8 to 10 km per single full charge. The instrument cluster on the iQube also shows when the regeneration is happening.
