Sport is a 100cc motorcycle from TVS Motor and their most fuel efficient yet. It has been designed to deliver trouble-free ownership and riding experience for day-to-day commuting. The engine is what TVS calls the DuraLife and displaces at 99.77cc. It produces 7.6 BHP of power and 7.8 NM of torque for maximum fuel efficiency and enough performance for in-city traffic. It comes with a bit of a sporty design having a bikini fairing and an angular tail light along with some graphics thrown in. There’s a self-start as standard for complete convenience.

Sport is the smallest and the most fuel efficient motorcycle from TVS Motor so far. However, it is not devoid of some decent styling. At the front, there’s a bikini fairing which houses the headlight and the instrument panel. The fuel tank has nice curves as well which is followed by a sporty looking tail section. There are plenty of graphics thrown in to further enhance the sporty looks. Overall build quality is good and the fit-n-finish is satisfactory.
Being a commuter, the Sport puts the rider in an upright riding stance and the reach to the handlebar is easy without any stress on hands or the shoulders. Foot-pegs are also conservatively placed for an overall easy riding position. Chassis and suspension are basic but do a fine job in tackling the irregularities of the city roads especially the rear suspension which is 5-step adjustable for preload.
TVS calls its 99.77cc engine the DuraLife engine and it is capable of producing 7.6 BHP of power at 7,500 RPM and 7.8 NM of torque at 5,500 RPM. Naturally, it is tuned more to deliver class-leading fuel economy than performance. However, it does a decent job in keeping up with the dense city traffic.
Sport comes with a 4-speed gearbox. The system is slick with generally smooth gear shifts and positive feedback throughout the operation. However, a 5-speed gearbox might have been better for overall better performance and mileage.
Sport comes equipped wth drum brakes at both ends. At the front, there’s 130mm drum while the rear makes do with a 110mm one. While this setup helps keeps the price under control, it does its job fine within city limits.
TVS Motor claims a fuel efficiency figure of 95 kmpl which is impressive, to say the least. And with its 12 litres of fuel tank capacity, one can expect a range of over 1000 km in full tank.
