RTR 160 is the smallest and least powerful RTR from the TVS stable. It is powered by a 159.7cc over-square engine which produces 15.2 BHP of power at 8,500 RPM and 13.1 NM of torque at 4,000 RPM making it one of the best performing motorcycles in its segments. The styling is same as the RTR 180 with a “predator” style headlight assembly with aggressive tank extensions. Braking package is the same as on its bigger sibling with a 270mm front disc and a 200mm rear disc. However, there’s an option of a 130mm rear drum brake. There’s no ABS on offer.

TVS Apache RTR 160 has a commuter silhouette but is very sporty, to begin with. The edgy design of the engine cowl gives it a sharp look. The overall package has a hint of aggression and the petal discs give a premium appeal as well.
TVS Apache RTR 160 is a very sporty commuter as it can deliver comfort for everyday riding but will fair well on curves. The rider sits upright with comfortably placed footpegs and handlebars. This motorcycle allows quicker corners as compared to most commuters in India.

The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox with a wet, multi-plate clutch.
TVS Apache RTR 160 comes with a 270 mm petal disc at the front and at the rear, it gets a 200 mm petal disc or a 130 mm drum brake.
TVS Apache RTR 160 has a 16-litre fuel tank and delivers an ARAI certified fuel economy figure of about 50 kmpl.
