
TVS Motor Company is part of the TVS Group and was founded in 1978. The TVS Group was originally formed in 1911 by T V Sundaram Iyengar. TVS Motor Company introduced their first two-wheeler, the TVS 50 moped, in 1980 and entered into domestic racing with it in 1984. In 1987, TVS Racing division was born. In 2015, TVS Motor became the first Indian company to enter into Dakar Rally with the French motorcycle manufacturer Sherco. Currently, the company produces following vehicles in India – Scooty Pep+, Scooty Zest 110, Jupiter, Wega 110, XL 100 moped, XL 100 Comfort, XL Super, XL Super Heavy Duty, Sport, Phoenix 125, Star City+, Victor, RTR 160, RTR 180 and RTR 200 4V.
