So far, Ola, Nissan, and Royal Enfield have shared their sales numbers. Ola has registered sales of over 23,000 units in March, while Royal Enfield has achieved over 1 million sales in the previous financial year, which is the highest recorded to date. Royal Enfield has expanded its 650cc portfolio to multiple motorcycles and the latest is the Classic 650, which is underpinned by the same platform the Shotgun 650 uses.
Kia has also had positive sales, registering over 19 percent YoY growth compared to March 2024, while its annual sales also grew. The same can be said with MG as well, with its electric vehicle portfolio accounting to over 85 percent of the carmaker’s sales. Mahindra has registered 18 percent YoY growth with SUV sales. Toyota has achieved its highest-ever FY sales, registering 28 percent growth compared the previous year.

Auto Sales in March 2025 Live Updates: Royal Enfield clocks 1 million sales
Royal Enfield surpassed the 1 million annual sales milestone for the financial year ending March 31, 2025, the highest-ever in its history. The company posted sales of 10,09,900 units in the past financial year, up 11% from FY 2023-24. March 2025 sales rose 34% to 1,01,021 units. Domestic sales in the past financial year grew to 9,02,757 units from 8,34,795 units in FY24 while exports rose 37% to 1,07,143 units.

Ola, having been in the news for multiple reasons, including sharing contradicting sales figures, has announced that it has sold 23,430 units in March 2025, in an official BSE filing.
Ola stated, “As shared earlier, the shift to in-house vehicle registrations in February
led to temporary disruptions. While the transition continues, daily registration volumes and backlog clearance are steadily improving. We have nearly cleared the February backlog and expect to complete the remaining February–March registrations in April 2025. To support this, we’re scaling up our registration operations and actively coordinating with all external stakeholders.”
The EV maker also announced that it has started deliveries of the thrid generation S1 scooters, which was launched earlier this year.

Auto sales in FY25 saw a 6 percent YoY growth, however, for FY24, the automotive sector saw a 10 percent growth. Experts say that the reason is owing to subdued market confidence, limited cash flow, a high base effect, and rising costs, in addition to consumers postponing purchases while awaiting new electric vehicle (EV) launches amongst others.

Nissan has registered the best single year performance for FY 2024-25 in the last seven years despite multiple headwinds faced by the domestic auto industry. In FY 2024-25 Nissan Motor India recorded total domestic volume of over 28,000 units, while its exports stood at over 71,000 units.
