The Tata Zest is the first automobile out in Tata’s range to feature an all new avatar based on all new “DesigNext, DriveNext, ConnectNext” philosophy. It also comes with an AMT gearbox which makes it the country’s cheapest diesel automatic sedan. The compact sedan comes in four petrol and six diesel variants. The variants are as follows Tata Zest XE, XM, XMS, XT, XE 75 PS Diesel, XM Diesel, XMS Diesel, XMA Diesel, XT Diesel and XTA Diesel. The Tata Zest comes in two engine choices a 1193 cc petrol engine and a 1248 cc diesel engine. In terms of safety, it comes with disc brakes in front with drum brakes at rear, ABS (Anti locking Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), dual front airbags, seat belts with pre-tensioner and load limiter, engine immobilizer and an alarm system. Key features include body coloured bumpers, power steering, alloy wheels and music system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth.

    Tata Zest

    The Tata Zest is an outcome of design inputs from company’s three different design studios and tips from Jaguar Land Rover. The front grille is complimented well by the dual projector headlamps which come with chrome accents, which are standard for every variant, except the base model XE. The top end trim XT also gets LED daytime running lamps. The front bumper boasts triangle shaped twin fog lamps and double slat air dam. It comes with an enlarged C pillar with body coloured bumpers, body coloured door handles and body coloured ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) with integrated turn indicators. The wheels are 15 inches alloys with which the sedan also features first in segment LED tail lamps.

    The Zest is a very comfortable and premium sedan and can accommodate five passengers with ease. It comes with a very effective air conditioning and heating unit. The interiors have been presented in a dual-tone Java Black & Latte colour scheme with fully fabric seat upholstery. It comes with an extended boot space of 390L. The top XT variant also has rear defogger, fully automatic temperature control and rear parking sensors. It also come with a host of other features including turn by turn navigation which is integrated in the 5 inch touchscreen system.

The driving is pretty easy thanks to the much refined turbocharged petrol and multijet diesel engine.
