More powerful 1.2-litre petrol engine
Needless to say, the Tata Tigor JTP looks sportier than its standard counterpart. The JTP edition brings with it air scoops on the bonnet, JTP badging at the front and rear, large 15-inch alloy wheels and the sporty looking revised bumpers. You also get contrasting ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) that add a sporty touch.
The Tata Tigor JTP is based on the top of the line Tigor but there are some elements inside the cabin that offer it a sporty touch. For instance, you get red highlights on the air conditioning vents and floor mats. Additionally, you also get JTP stitching and aluminium pedals.
Powering the Tata Tigor JTP is a 1.2-litre petrol engine, the same unit that powers the company’s Nexon sub compact SUV. The engine has been tuned to deliver an increased power and torque output of 112 bhp and 150 Nm. The company says that the JTP edition is quicker by almost 5 seconds compared to the regular version.
The 1.2-litre petrol engine on the power-packed Tata Tigor JTP is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The gear ratios on the transmission have been revised in order to deliver better performance.
In terms of safety, the Tata Tigor JTP comes with dual airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD. The car also gets corner stability control for added safety and convenience.
Tata Tigor JTP offers a fuel efficiency of close to 15 kmpl. Being performance edition, the JTP delivers lesser fuel economy than the standard Tigor.
