The Tata Hexa is a crossover which measures 4,788 mm in length, 1903 mm in width, 1791 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. It has a ground clearance of 200 mm and all variants of the Tata Hexa are offered in Arizona Blue, Tungsten Silver, Pearl White, Sky Grey And Platinum Silver exterior colours. In addition, standard features on the outside include dual headlamp unit with projector beams, body coloured bumpers, body coloured ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) and electrically adjustable ORVMs. The higher variants also get electrically foldable ORVMs, chrome accents and 19 inch alloy wheels.
The Tata Hexa has a feature rich cabin and all variants of the crossover are offered with the ConnectNext infotainment system with different speaker configurations, steering mounted audio and phone control, rear AC vents for second as well as third row, and 8 way adjustable driver’s seat. The higher versions also feature automatic climate control, criuise control, TFT driver information system, mood lighting and the infotainment system is a touchscreen.
Powering the Tata Hexa is a 2.2 litre diesel engine in two states of tune, a VARICOR320 and VARICOR400. The VARICOR320 generates 148 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque from 1,700 rpm to 2,700 rpm. The VARICOR400 tune produces 154 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque from 1,700 rpm to 2,700 rpm. This are the same engine tunes that also power the Tata Safari Storme.
There are three transmission options available for the Tata Hexa’s diesel engine which is offered in two states of tune, VARICOR320 and VARICOR400. In the VARICOR320, the only available gearbox is a 5 speed manual unit, however the VARICOR400 is offered with a 6 speed manual transmission and 6 speed automatic transmission. The top end XT 4X4 also has an all wheel drive system for off road capabilities.
All variants of the Tata Hexa feature ABS (Anti lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), dual front airbags as a standard fitment. The higher versions are also offered with Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, ESP (Electronic Stability Program) with Rollover Mitigation.
The Tata Hexa has a claimed fuel efficiency of 14.4 kmpl for all variants which is reasonable for its segment. The crossover is available in two states of tune, VARICOR320 and VARICOR400 and comes only with a 2.2 litre diesel engine.
