Benelli 302R

Benelli’s small capacity sports bike, the Tornado 302R first broke cover at the 2015 EICMA, developed with growing markets in India in mind, where small capacity sports bikes have a strong customer bus. In terms of overall design, the Benelli Tornado 302R definitely looks the part. Even though the front is slightly busier than required. However, in terms of equipment, the Benelli does fall short especially considering it’s less than modest price tag. The Benelli Tornado 302R is powered by a 300 cc parallel-twin liquid cooled engine, which makes about 36hpp at 12,0000 rpm and 27 Nm of torque and will transfer to the wheels and has a claimed top speed of 170kmph, there is also an upgrade kit available for the 302R and that will bring the power output for the 302 to 40hp. In terms of suspension, the Benelli Tornado 302R has 41 mm upside down forks in the front and a monoshock with adjustable preload at the rear. Stopping force comes from twin-floating 260mm discs with a four-piston caliper in the front, and a 240mm disc in the rear. The 302R will also get ABS as an optional extra.
