After RBI's repo rate cut and change in policy stance, corporate and banks have sold government securities, with a leading corporate selling Rs 20,000 crore worth of G-Secs. Other banks are also selling up to 5% of their HTM book to protect their portfolios. This has caused the benchmark 10-year G-Sec yield to rise to 6.35-6.40%.
