The Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine sports a sleek design with minimal lines running across. The front of the vehicle has the three-pointed star, studded in a large black grille. The headlamps look smart as well. It comes with 17-inch alloys that fill up the wheel arches. At the rear, one can find angular-looking tail lamps and two exhaust ports on the bumper. The AMG version looks more aggressive and comes with 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear bumper also looks more muscular and has twin exhausts with round tips.
The interior of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine is spacious thanks to the long wheelbase. The quality of material and fitment is on par with what one would expect from Mercedes-Benz. You can get the interior in dual-tone upholstery or an all-black. There is a large digital display panel that stretches from the driver side to the centre of the dashboard. The A-Class Limousine comes equipped with MBUX system and voice commands. The cabin has plenty of storage spaces, a wireless charger for mobiles, sunroof, rear AC vents and ambient lighting.
Mercedes is offering the A-Class Limousine with three engine options. One of them is a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes 163hp and 250Nm of peak torque. There is a 2.0-litre diesel engine on offer too. It is a four-cylinder motor that makes 150hp and 320Nm of torque. For those that want to have a bit more fun, Mercedes also has the AMG A 35 which comes with a 2.0-litre, in-line four-cylinder, petrol engine that spits out a peak power of 306hp and generates a maximum torque of 400Nm.
All three variants of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine come with automatic transmissions. The petrol engines in A 200 and AMG A 35 come with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and the diesel engine gets an 8-speed DCT. You get paddle shifters in the AMG model for better control over gear shifts.
The Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine comes equipped with disc brakes on all four wheels and it also gets ABS with EBD. The brakes feel sharp and inspire a lot of confidence even when going fast. The car also has rear parking sensors and cameras. It comes with 7 airbags for the safety of the occupants inside the cabin. The A-Class Limousine can also raise its bonnet slightly to reduce the impact in case of a collision with a pedestrian.
Mercedes has focused on making their engines as refined and frugal as possible. The smaller displacement 1.3-litre petrol engine has a claimed fuel efficiency of 17.5kmpl which is commendable. People who want to get a more fuel-efficient model can go for the diesel variant that has a claimed mileage of 21.5kmpl. Even the rev-happy AMG has a claimed mileage of 13.39kmpl.
