The Mercedes-Benz GLE is a luxury SUV offered by the German carmaker in India which is based on the previous generation E-Class. It is powered by one petrol engine and two diesel engines. The petrol engine is a  unit that generates 333 hp of power at 5,250 rpm and 480 Nm of torque from 1,600.x` It is mated to a 7 speed automatic transmission. The smaller diesel engine is a 2,143 cc unit that produces 204 hp of power at 3,800 rpm and 500 Nm of torque. This motor is mated to the 9G-Tronic 9 speed automatic gearbox. The larger diesel engine generates 258 hp of power at 3,400 rpm and 620 Nm of torque at 1,600 rpm. This engine is also paired 9G-Tronic 9 speed automatic transmission. It measures 4,819 mm in length, 2,141 mm in width, 1,796 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,915 mm. In terms of safety, the GLE is equipped with 7 airbags, Electronic Stability Programme, Attention Assist and other segment matching equipment.
