Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine is the company's most affordable sedan in India and is being locally produced at their plant near Pune. Despite most manufacturers going after the SUV market, Mercedes-Benz has decided to focus on sedans as they bring in the bulk of their sales. The A-Class Limousine is being offered with three engine options including a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 160hp, a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel motor which makes 150 hp and a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine which puts out 306hp. This top of the line engine comes in the A35 AMG variant of the car and gets additional styling changes to give it a more sporty appeal. On the inside is a large screen that stretches from the driver's side to the centre of the dashboard. It houses a 10-inch digital MID and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) OS. There is plenty of space in the second row and one gets to feel the luxurious treatment that Mercedes-Benz is known for.

    The Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine sports a sleek design with minimal lines running across. The front of the vehicle has the three-pointed star, studded in a large black grille. The headlamps look smart as well. It comes with 17-inch alloys that fill up the wheel arches. At the rear, one can find angular-looking tail lamps and two exhaust ports on the bumper. The AMG version looks more aggressive and comes with 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear bumper also looks more muscular and has twin exhausts with round tips.

There is a 2.0-litre diesel engine on offer too. It is a four-cylinder motor that makes 150hp and 320Nm of torque. For those that want to have a bit more fun, Mercedes also has the AMG A 35 which comes with a 2.0-litre, in-line four-cylinder, petrol engine that spits out a peak power of 306hp and generates a maximum torque of 400Nm.

The petrol engines in A 200 and AMG A 35 come with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and the diesel engine gets an 8-speed DCT. You get paddle shifters in the AMG model for better control over gear shifts.
