New MG Windsor EV Launch in India Highlights: MG Motor has launched its third electric vehicle in India today. Called the Windsor EV, it is essentially a rebadged Wuling Cloud EV sold in China. Moreover, this new model holds great significance since this is the first launch since MG Motor India joined hands with Jindal Steel Works (JSW).

The Windsor EV is going to be the first all-electric multi-purpose vehicle or as MG likes to call it CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle). The new EV is priced in between the Comet EV and the ZS EV, starting at Rs 9.99 lakh. Here’s a rundown of all the key highlights from the launch of MG Windsor EV.

Powering the MG Windsor EV is a 38kWh LFP battery with prismatic cells sending energy to a single electric motor mounted on the front axle. The motor returns an output of 134 bhp and 200 Nm torque. MG Motor has finally taken the wraps off the Windsor EV. The battery-powered CUV has been priced at an extraordinary starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory). On top of this, customers need to pay Rs 3.50 per km for the battery rental module. Bookings for the Windsor EV commences 3 October, while test drives will begin from 13 October 2024. Deliveries are likely to commence soon.
