Maruti Suzuki November sales flat, utility vehicles see steady demand

Maruti’s next big launch is expected to be the fourth-gen Swift which made its debut at recently concluded Japan Mobility Show.

Festive buying and better availability of semiconductors aided better production for Maruti Suzuki and the passenger vehicle market leader clocked 3% growth YoY in its November sales at 134,158 vehicles Vs 132,395 cars sold last November. However, month-on-month there is dip from the 168,047 cars sold in October.

The Utility Vehicle segment clocked sales of 49,016 vehicles compared to 32,563 sold last November. However again compared to October performance, this is slightly lower from 59.147 units sold last month.

Maruti Suzuki November 2023 sales

The top sellers from Maruti include Baleno, Brezza, Dzire and Grand Vitara. In terms of exports, Maruti has clocked a slightly higher tick on a year-on-year basis at 22,950 vehicles compared to export of 19,738 cars in last November.

Addressing media after the sales announcement, Shashank Srivastava, senior executive officer, marketing and sales, Maruti Suzuki India expects some slowdown in December sales but overall expect 6.1% growth for the fiscal going forward.
