2023 Tata Harrier, Safari bookings open at Rs 25,000

The Harrier and Safari facelifts come with a slew of design changes, segment-first features and an ADAS suite.

Tata Motors has opened the bookings for the Harrier and the Safari facelift. The Indian automobile manufacturer has announced that the SUVs can be booked at an amount of Rs 25,000. Customers can book either the Harrier or the Safari at Tata Motors dealerships or on the official company website. The deliveries for both the SUVs are expected to start from this month. In a span of two months, Tata Motors is all set to launch three facelift SUVs starting from the Nexon and the Nexon EV last month.

Both the SUVs sport sleek-looking connected LED DRLs running between the front grille and the bonnet. The vertically stacked split headlights are placed below the new stretched front grille and above the aggressively designed front bumper. The Harrier gets all-black skid plates while the Safari comes with silver-coloured ones. Both the SUVs will now sport 19-inch alloy wheels and welcome and goodbye features on both the headlights and the tail lamps. The Harrier and the Safari also now get connected rear LED lights.

Tata Motors has revamped the cabin of the Harrier and the Safari with a 10.25-inch driver’s console and a 12.3-inch landscape infotainment system. Both the SUVs get a brand new twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and control buttons and toggle switches, which are on similar lines as the recently launched Nexon. The cabin also comes with ambient lighting.

The Harrier and the Safari facelift come packed with segment-first features. The 5-seater Harrier gets a 10-speaker JBL music system, headrests for the second row, a touch panel on the centre console,  rear door sunshades and a 45W fast USB charger. The Safari retains all the features mentioned along with a ventilated second row.

Tata Motors will offer the Harrier and the Safari with six airbags as a standard feature and the top variant will come with a seventh airbag that will protect the driver’s knee. The two SUVs will also come equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Suite with 11 functions including Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go function (AT only), Autonomous Emergency Braking – Including Pedestrian & Cycle, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, Door Open Alert, Lane Departure Warning, etc.

The Harrier and Safari continue to be powered by the 2-litre diesel that develops 168bhp and 350Nm of torque. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Both the SUVs offer three drive modes — Eco, City and Sport and three traction control commands — Normal, Rough and Wet.
