The production-ready TVS-BMW G310R has been spied recently, which indicates the launch of the motorcycle soon in the country. This will mark the beginning of affordable and smaller displacement motorcycles from the German brand. The motorcycle will be manufactured in India at the TVS plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu from where it will be sold to international markets in a later phase.

The G310R street fighter is light in weight and is powered by a 313cc, water-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing 34 hp of maximum power and 28 Nm of peak torque. The power is channelised via a 6-speed transmission. The cylinder in the G310R has been positioned towards the rear wheel keeping in mind the proportional weight distribution. This also makes the bike agile and easy to manoeuvre.

The bike is based on the BMW S 100 R and features premium quality and new technologies. Its sporty headlight is eye-catching, while the seats look comfortable for long rides. The meatier and wider tyres ensure better grip on the road and safety. The BMW G310R will come with standard features like ABS system (Anti-Lock Braking System), disc brakes at both the ends, upside-down telescopic fork at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear.

We expect the upcoming BMW G310R street fighter to be priced between Rs. 1.5 to Rs. 2.0 lakh, ex-showroom to rivals against the KTM Duke 390 and Kawasaki Z250 in the country.
