Ukraine proposes $100 bn weapons deal to US in bid to win Trump’s security guarantee
Ukraine has proposed a $100 billion deal to buy American weapons, with the costs to be covered by Europe. The deal was proposed in return for US security guarantees once a peace deal with Russia is reached. Kyiv also offered a $50 billion deal to jointly produce drones with US companies. Trump acknowledged "security guarantees" for Ukraine and plans for trilateral talks with Putin and Zelenskyy.
